We are a dynamic, imaginative company proudly contributing to the UK manufacturing sector.

In 1984, industrial wax chemists Tony Ward and Brian Scudder founded Ceroform Ltd with a simple interest: exploring how different materials could work across various industries.

By 1990, we had moved to the banks of the River Darent near Dartford and became The Darent Wax Company. Growth came through learning: each new industry and application expanded our understanding.

Strategic acquisitions deepened our expertise: Wilkins Campbell’s 130 years of wax blending experience in 2005, Fred Gibson’s textile specialisation in 2009. We built a comprehensive knowledge base that serves us well today, and we continue to look for opportunities to expand our capabilities when the right partnerships arise.

The 2015 management buyout helped define and clarify our values and philosophy: to support long-term partnerships with an aim to build something amazing together. Since then, we’ve invested in automation, improved machinery, staff training, and digitalising our processes.

Looking forward, we’re expanding into new territories and markets, developing new technologies. While larger companies consolidate and simplify their product ranges, we remain committed to specialty applications – because complex challenges will always require specialist solutions.
